AI-BRIDGES contributes to the "Mapping the Humanities & AI" initiative

at the Digital Humanities Research Hub, School of Advanced Study, University of London.

In April 2026, AI-BRIDGES takes part in a new initiative at the School of Advanced Study (SAS), University of London — Maping the Humanities & AI.

Why is this initiative important? “Humanities scholars across the UK are shaping Critical Thinking and practical action around AI, but the work is scattered across institutions and websites, making connections harder to spot.  Mapping the Humanities and AI is a map in development that will visualise this activity, highlight networks and gaps, and support collaboration across research, policy, and practice.”

During April, Dr. Anna-Maria Sichani and Dr. Shani Evenstein Sigalov, AI-BRIDGES lead, together with Elena Zolotariov, who is leading the project at SAS, are conducting a series of focus groups with academics & Humanities experts. These focus group meetings will help gain initial feedback about that system that will inform further development of the platform.

It was an honor to have AI-BRIDGES featured as a key example in a special blog post launching the new initiative, linked below. Some more details are also in this LinkedIn post.

So if you are in the Humanities and working with AI, do check — is your initiative already mapped? Find out here, and do help spread the word to others.
The more we are connected, the more impact we have to solve our current global issues.
